At the end of 2021, our teams completed the landscape of Safran Electronics & Défense’s new headquarter in Malakoff. This office building is in perfect harmony with la Coulée Verte (also known as La Promenade Plantée), along which it is located. The vegetalisation starts on the ground floor, going all around the building, then goes up the 17 terraces along the South West façade all the way to the sedum roof from where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Eiffel Tower.
At the back of the building, on the ground, block pavers intertwined with plants form a natural path along the wall covered with climbing plants. On the other side, the space between the gate and the walls is filled with flowerbeds and a slabbed path just like the previous one, gives access to the building. The terraces feature large containers planted with trees and perennial plants as well as tailor-made benches offering users appropriable well-being areas. Finally, special attention has been given to the containers whose increasing size enhances the perspective of the terraces, which are visible from the right side of the building.
The technical challenges associated with this project – Cranes to be used to bring over large plants and a large quantity of soil and substrate to be brought to the site – did not stop our teams from completing the works.
Today MUGO’s teams are also in charge of tending the landscape of that space.
